    What is Earthwool made from?

Earthwool is a new glass mineral wool designed to improve upon the already exceptional environmental credentials of standard glasswool by increasing the use of both sustainable and recycled raw materials.

How is Earthwool different from other glasswool?

Earthwool improves the already exceptional environmental credentials of glass mineral wool and is manufactured with an increased use of sustainable raw materials and recycled glass (which result in the distinctive brown colour). It has a higher thermal performance than our standard loft roll(0.040 W/mK Lambda value).

    Why is Earthwool brown?

Earthwool is brown in colour resulting from the use of new, more sustainable raw materials including glass and other ingredients. The brown is the products natural colour i.e. It does not contain any colour additives or dye.

What thicknesses of Earthwool are available?

Earthwool is available in 100mm and 200mm thicknesses – 100mm fits nicely between your ceiling joists, and 200mm lays across the joists to give a total depth of 300mm.

What is the thermal performance of Earthwool?

Earthwool has a lambda value (also called Thermal Conductivity) of 0.040 W/mK.
