Hello!
We had it done recently and felt the difference right away. That is in terms of heat and the heating comes on via a thermostat and we've noticed it comes on much less frequently to maintain temp and for shorter periods of time. We went with a reputable national company with a 25 year guarantee which reasured us. We only wish we'd have had it done 5 years ago. The surveyor from the company came and drilled a hole and looked inside the cavity with a camera etc.
We are not over 70 or on benefits so it wasn't free but subsidised for only £99 and it will pay for itself well within a year on our 3 bed detached. The number is 0800 088 7411 if anyone else wants it. Hope this helps

Although having cavity wall insulation installed is by no means cheap there is little doubt it will help reduce central heating costs. In the medium to long term is should more than pay for itself.

This is very true that cavity wall insulation saves money. It has benefits like after installation less heat will escape during the cold winter months when you need it; while in the warm summer months the insulation will act in reverse and help keep the heat out and your home cool.
